Practice Areas

Yumiko Aoi is a partner in the Corporate Practice and Antitrust Practice groups of the firm. She represents international and domestic clients of all sizes in a wide range of industries on all aspects of antitrust related to M&A, investigations, litigation and competitor collaborations. Her practice encompasses the full spectrum of cross border transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures, and she regularly advises Japanese companies seeking to expand operations overseas, and represents foreign corporations and investors seeking business opportunities within Japan. In her role as a trusted business advisor, Yumiko regularly counsels clients on general corporate and business law matters; including day-to-day preventive advice, labor and employment disputes, recalls, consumer protection, and corporate governance. Over the years, Yumiko has acquired substantial and practical insight on Western and Japanese business customs, and by drawing on this experience, can assist clients in realizing their strategic business objectives and goals.
