Kanako Inokuchi specializes in, among other things, providing legal advice on corporate strategies relating to patents, trademarks, design rights, copyrights and Unfair Competition Prevention Act, license negotiations, drafting of contracts and infringement lawsuits. She also has extensive experience in legal consultations on system developments and telecommunications business, support on development of internal corporate structure and handling of incidents including divulgement of personal information in accordance with Act on Protection of Personal Information, measures for protecting personal information globally in coordination with overseas law firms (including measures against overseas data protection laws such as GDPR and preparation of Global Privacy Policy and Incident Response Plan for corporate group), and measures to protect human rights in global companies such as measures against UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 (including preparation of statement or human rights policy and human rights due diligence).
